1938 Honor: Seven Simeons: A Russian Tale, illustrated and written by Boris Artzybasheff. The book was originally published in 1937 by Viking.
- Collecting? I have seen first editions running everywhere from $35-$300. Dust jackets, as usual, typically place the item at the higher end of that range.
- According to the dealer pages that I have reviewed, the first edition hardback has green cloth boards with green lettering on the spine. I am not sure if this is a subjective color interpretation or whether that changed to gold lettering later, I am not sure. My second printing (pictured below) seems more gold than green.
- Given the notations on my copyright page (pictured below), I would assume that a first edition, first print is stated as such, making it easy to identify.
- There is also a row of birds embossed along the top of the cover (pictured below), which I believe is also on the first print. The later and library editions that I have seen have these birds running through the center of the cover.

- I have not found a complete bibliography anywhere; everyone seems missing one thing or another. Between Wikipedia, Abebooks, and various online biographies, I have compiled the list below. It includes only books, not ads or magazine work. I have tried to note those books where Artzybasheff's contribution was limited to dustjackets/cover designs and endpapers. However, keep in mind that I relied primarily on seller descriptions, so when in doubt, ask if you want to focus on a particular subset of books that he illustrated:

Boris Artzybasheff's striking graphic style - which includes everything from grotesque experiments in anthropomorphism to the depiction of vivid and extreme ranges of human psychology and emotion - is displayed to full effect in this seminal collection of his work. The lowest price that I have seen on this title is about $100, and it was gone in a couple of days. Most copies are selling in the $300-$400 range.
